It was our last evening in the Bahamas after three weeks of island-hopping when she appeared in the shallows—a southern stingray, completely unbothered, resting in water so clear it looked like glass.
I picked two fallen hibiscus flowers and gently let them drift around her. Then I waited.
When she finally lifted off the sand and glided away, I caught this fleeting moment: crimson petals floating on the surface, her silhouette slipping beneath them, and water so impossibly clear it hardly looked real. To me, this photograph captures everything I love about the Bahamas—its quiet beauty, vibrant color, and the unexpected moments you could never plan.
