We were out on the boat somewhere in the Mentawais, scanning the horizon for waves, when this island appeared out of nowhere. Palm trees packed so tight they looked like they were holding each other up, white sand, nobody around for miles. I grabbed my camera and shot it before we passed. Some places make you feel like you found something the rest of the world hasn't gotten to yet. This was one of them.
